Aera Moon is a Brooklyn-born, Haitian-American singer and songwriter whose music bridges cultures and genres. Raised between Haiti and the U.S., she embodies the spirit of the modern era—crafting thoughtful, soulful, and inspiring songs that resonate across borders. A former J-pop ghostwriter and K-pop trainee, Aera draws from a wide range of influences, including cinematic power ballads, 70s disco-funk, Haitian Kompas, alternative rock and the technical precision of Asian pop. Inspired by her late mother’s eclectic taste in music, fashion, and art, she continues to reinvent her sound while staying rooted in authenticity. Her debut single, Moonlight (Love) (2021), released in both English and Japanese, including her follow-up, Shiroyama Sakura, an upbeat spring-inspired J-pop anthem, showcase her coquetish style and universal themes. Her next project is a Halloween themed “goth pop” mini album with the first single BLACK dropping September 20th on all platforms.
